It was like seeing flashes of Christmas cartoon specials I used to watch as a kid, when everything about the season made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. The montage of animated Christmas scenes also look like they came straight from a storybook, or a Hallmark card. Either way, the snow-covered Christmas trees and villages, gingerbread men, toy soldiers, and more invoked nostalgia and a sense of wonder.

Christmas tree within a Christmas tree!

His gestures looks like he’s conducting an orchestra!
The images on the Christmas tree were animated through 3D mapping. This 40-foot tall Christmas tree with the Christmas animations are the unique feature of the “Sparkle of Christmas at Filinvest City” light and sound show at Spectrum Linear Park along Commerce Avenue, Filinvest, Alabang. It was my first time to attend their show, and it does not disappoint!
The animations on the Christmas tree run for 10 minutes, and are played every 30 minutes from 6 to 9 pm from Fridays to Sundays.
Below is an excerpt to give an idea:
The arching Christmas lights that lead to the Christmas tree are beautiful, too, though they change colors independently of the music.

Like a rainbow!

Arches come in pairs, crossing each other!

Looking at the arches from another angle! And I love purple, too!

Another perspective of both lights and tree

I love the way these arches change color, sometimes the same color with the Christmas tree animation.
During the weekend shows, there are bazaars till midnight, too. I took the chance and bought cookies and a beach blanket.
There are band performances on Saturday evenings and fireworks on Sundays.

Yay for fireworks!
The Sparkle of Christmas light and sound show will run until December 31.
